Apartment management · Moore, Oklahoma
Moore apartments, run by people who take storm season seriously.
Moore sits on I-35 between Oklahoma City and Norman, and everybody here knows what May can bring. The May 3, 1999 and May 20, 2013 tornadoes changed how this city builds.
Owning a small complex in Moore means planning for storms, keeping records you can hand an insurance adjuster, and having a crew that can get there fast afterward. Our shared crew and 24/7 office are built for exactly that.
Mission accomplished, and you save big.

Moore at a glance, for apartment owners
Moore is mostly homeowners, but about a third of its households rent, and rents run close to Edmond's.
Housing figures: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates for Moore city (tables B25003, B25064, B25024, B25035), via Census Reporter. Estimates have margins of error. For comparison, Oklahoma City is 41% renter-occupied, with a $1,130 median gross rent and a 1982 median year built.
What's different about owning apartments in Moore
Moore wrote its own wind code
After the 2013 tornado, Moore adopted Ordinance 768(14) in March 2014, believed to be the first U.S. city code aimed at tornado resistance. New homes must be designed for 135 mph winds, up from 90, with stronger roof and wall connections and wind-rated garage doors. If you rebuild or add on, plan for it.
Records matter after a storm
A dated roof, siding and window baseline makes a claim faster and fairer. We document exteriors at onboarding and again after major storms, so you are not reconstructing what the building looked like.
Between two job centers
Moore sits on I-35 between two big job centers, Oklahoma City and Norman, so its renters aren't tied to one employer or one school calendar.
Why a shared crew fits Moore
After a big storm, one on-site maintenance person can't be everywhere. A shared crew can put several people on your property the day it's needed, then move on when it's handled.
The old way
On-site staff for every property
- A full-time maintenance tech and office staff at each complex
- You pay for their whole week, busy or slow
- One person is expected to be good at everything
- When they're sick, on vacation or quit, the property is uncovered
- A small complex carries big-complex overhead
The OKCREAL way
A shared local team, a 24/7 office and smart dispatch
- One crew shared across campuses, so no property pays for idle time
- Skilled workers who do the work every day across many buildings
- A home office available 24/7 by app or phone for residents and owners
- Smart local dispatch sends the right person when your property needs one
- Better outcomes at a better price, because the cost is shared
How we'd run your Moore complex
- Exterior baseline at onboarding (roof, gutters, siding, windows) with dated photos, re-documented after major storms.
- Storm-day triage from the 24/7 office: safety first, then tarping and water, then the rest, with photos for your adjuster.
- Rebuilds checked against Moore’s wind code with your contractor before work starts.
- Resident requests 24/7 through the myOKCREAL app or by calling or texting our office, with smart local dispatch to Moore.

Moore apartment owners ask
Do you manage apartment complexes in Moore, OK?
Yes. Moore is inside our service area, on I-35 between Oklahoma City and Norman.
What do you do after a tornado or hail storm?
Our 24/7 office triages the property, the crew secures it (tarps, water, safety), and we photo-document damage for your insurance claim against the baseline we took at onboarding.
Does Moore’s 2014 wind code apply to my existing building?
The ordinance sets standards for new residential construction. If you rebuild, add on or replace major parts after storm damage, ask the City of Moore and your contractor how it applies. We help coordinate that conversation.
Is there someone on site at my Moore complex?
Not full time. A shared crew covers the properties we manage, and the home office dispatches the right person when your property needs one.
